Came in from VA this morning, gorgeous color.

Hate to say this guyz, but me being an old phart, I really don't like the gross overuse of cuts/panels/and other disorganized 'features' on the body work/panels.....totally overdone at BEST......FUGLY is my opinion.....

and WTF about a rear engine VETTE?? Y????

It's definitely growing on me. My issue with it is this; It's trying too hard in the styling department.

For example, Aston Martin had and has a unique look exclusive to them. You could say the same about the 911 and pretty much ALL the offerings from Lamborghini in the last thirty years. Now we have a Corvette that's pretty much abandoned any styling cues from it's past. It's like it doesn't know what it want's to be in some ways.

The mid-engine thing doesn't bother me but I hate hearing "Best bang for the buck." It cheapens the car and makes those who say it sound like they're trying to justify their purchase.

I'll say this - pictures don't do it justice. You need to stand next to one to get a real idea what this thing is with all the sharp angles.

WRONG. The nose is pointed just like Gene's '72. With the top up, the vert is reminiscent of the '68-'77 coupes.

I think they are trying to boost euro sales by making it a knockoff Ferrari/Porsche type car.

I wish they had stuck with a 427 or larger displacement that would shake the ground when you were near it vs a high pitch euro sounding car.

I do like the color. The evolution of the deep red metallic (I had the Magnetic Red in 2005) is going well:seasix:

I went into C-5 and said Porsche is like a super model compared to a C-5 that's like Rosi O'Donnell. I got a permabann for trolling. :sadangel:
