Hi Liz.
Bar rookies. You can't have thin skin. |
Talking in the 3rd person is fun.

I agree. I know many of my CF and VB friends from bar days on CF. Long ago in a galaxy far far away! |

This is the first bar thread I have ever posted in. Here or over there. And I'm standing with my pants down.

exterior doors to my office all painted, refit, properly shimmed to fit nicely against the weather stripping, new sweeps installed, new door knob installed. way less drafty than they were a week ago, and better looking too (went from cobalt blue to dark red for exterior color). next up: Mrs. DAB's office doors (also a pair of 30" doors). and need to work on the laundry room table...... |

we have 6 sets (BR, DR, LR, my office, Mrs. office, studio) of exterior double doors, and another 3 single exterior doors (master bath, laundry, studio)....that's a lot of exterior doors to maintain.
replaced the worst 3 with steel doors this year, rehabbing other wood doors to buy another few years before replacing them too with steel doors in later years. except for the front doors, all the doors are full light doors. lets a lot of sunshine in. :hurray::hurray: |

i think we are too far off the beaten path to worry about zombies, and we can see them coming from a fair distance away...plenty of time to sound the alarm. |

another reason MY house is on a hill and masonry.... rainstorm just now, really heavy...uphill neighbor has a concrete back yard like I used to have in G'burg Md.....and so mine had a curb and free flow down hill to street, no sweat, this idiot has a curb in his back yard and then puts a GRATE over the only 4" drain pipe, and insists on putting it over there, of course those leaves from the useless trees matte over the drain then instead of just washing down with the water, and so.....it over flows and floods my atrium and washes 500 lbs of sand down my driveway vagina..... :beat::beat::kimblair::leaving: |
we had to replace the front door in our MD house several years ago, went with fiberglass, as the moisture would not affect it like it would affect wood or steel.
but in the arid desert, steel works just fine. |
