Grieving takes however long it takes, but I hope eventually, you'll simply remember his birthday, not the tragic day that he died. Stay strong. I can't even imagine how hard this is for you. |

A loved family member's loss creates an eternal void.

Traveled from FL to NC this week for a beloved Bro-In-Laws funeral....I try to keep foremost in my thoughts, "Don't cry because its over, Smile because it happened!" - but its tough.

very hard to do

If words had magical healing powers, I’d write them for you and your family all day and night long…instead, you have all of our thoughts and prayers here in support of you. :yesnod:
I believe in my heart of hearts that you will see each other again. A friend posted this quote in a grief group chat last night, just thought I’d share it with you here: “I will not look back, for there is sorrow. I will not look to today, for there is longing. I will look forward, for there is our tomorrow.” :grouphug: |
I don't have the words.
:sadangel: |
I remember when i was overseas in the military my best friend who lived across the street died of cancer at 19. I didn't even know he was sick. They kept it from me until after he died. I remember getting the mail which was always 10 days to two weeks coming, i was in the motor pool and it was like someone kicked me right in the gut. I got out a year later and that was the first place i went to. I couldn't believe how much it aged them. You never want to bury a child. I've had many friends that did. I thank God every day for my children.
