From nerds to Gods..... In some peoples lives, anyways.
The Professor was just amazing. Here are three links of historical significance. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...170851535.html https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...181420469.html https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...212049677.html It's weird. I lost a great friend, Todd Miller a few months back. He was a great drummer and had met many famous drummers in his time, and had showcases on his walls of drum sticks that he had collected from concerts that he had attended, Rush's Neil Peart's being among them. I felt that the world lost a great talent as his ashes were perched on his drum throne behind his kit at his wake... Now Neil Peart..... Damn... It's still sinking in. I have seen Rush 5 times including the Moving Pictures tour which was truly an epic experience. I saw The Permanent Waves Tour and Signals Tour using back stage passes. Driving my built Nova back in the early '80s was better with Rush cranking on the stereo. The world is now just a bit different. I guess that comes with getting older... The loss of loved ones and heroes isn't something that I'm ready for....:sadangel: God speed Peart !! |
