during The prime days we picked up an extended memory card and a kid friendly case. This little guy is playing hookie from daycare with this 6th ear infection today. He didn’t want breakfast just wanted tiger (Daniel tiger) on his tablet. Huge thanks again to Ron!

Kids are cute, too bad they turn into teenagers.

Six ear infections already? Seems kinda high. Think my kid made it until 10 before had an ear infection (went swimming in families pond) after that used ear drops.

Yes it’s a bit frustrating, we’re scheduled for tubes later this month, he just had an ear infection 2 weeks ago, so I don’t think they’re killing it off entirely. I hate pumping this kid so full of antibiotics, but not sure what the alternative would be.

At this point we’re behind in eating so I really hope the tube clear that up too.

My wife and I are fully submerged in Apple's products/apps, and have no experience with a Fire tablet, which appears to be considerably cheaper.

I'd like to be able to download a few shows (many/most of which are on Amazon Prime). and maybe find a few interactive games he can play without wifi/internet.

While I know both devices are capable of this, what is y'alls thoughts/experiences between these two devices?

Price with a kid resistant case is definitely in the Fire's favor but that's not always the end all be all of a decision.

Chris,

Do some research on this. I have read several times now it is not good to get kids into tablets, phones too early in life. I am not sure what that age is, and yes I have seen many that do it. My kids were older before it was a craze, but are attached to them now for sure. Pretty much Apple products from the start for all of us. Mostly because we were a music family from the start.

Good luck on the ear infection stuff. I had tubes really early as well.:cert:

A friend of mine, his little boy had a constant ear infection also. One tube was put in, he was behind in eating also, must be something to do with infection.
Good luck to the little one, hopefully get a handle on it.

Only reason he got the tablet today is he’s sick. At home it’s usually hidden, hence the delay in getting a picture with him on it. We have several flights coming up so I do want him at least competent in it, so it’ll hold his attention on the planes. :cert:

Hope you all get the ear stuff worked out. It was a pain for me as I was in the water all the time.:cert:
