Default *^*^* - The End of the NFL season is near Bar - *^*^*

since the other bar is out of food and drink, and it smells funny most days, we'll begin anew.

Mrs. DAB made "double good" cookies today. filled cookie with a raisin/nut mix inside. yummy. got to try 1. just 1.

Hard to believe the season as almost half over already. Weather permitting, the wife and I are going up to Spokane for Thanksgiving, maybe catch a Gonzaga game while we were there. My Stepson works there.

The only time I ever got attacked by a Western Rattlesnake was just outside of Spokealoo when I did survival school at Fairchild AFB. The snake got hung up on my boot and never got through the leather. My partner was from Tejas and pulled him off my boot, lopped his head off and said "Y'awll caught lunch!" I responded that lunch had caught me.

Anyhoo, Spokane is a nice town but go watch Wazzoo over on the Paloose.

airline takes off, and after getting to cruising altitude and speed, the talkative captain comes on to welcome the passengers aboard and tells them all about the wonderful 4 engine 747 they are on today. and how the trip should take about 5 hours.

some time passes, there is a loud bang, and the captain comes on again to calm them down and tell them that the #3 engine is out, but that with 3 engines remaining, they'll be fine, and due to the reduced power, the trip will now take about 6 hours.

more time passes, another loud bang, and the captain comes on again to calm them down again and tell them that the #2 engine is out, but that with 2 engines remaining, they'll be fine, and due to the reduced power, the trip will now take about 7-1/2 hours.

more time passes, another loud bang, and the captain comes on again to calm them down again and tell them that the #4 engine is out, but that with 1 engine remaining, they'll be fine, and due to the reduced power, the trip will now take about 8-1/2 to 9 hours.

passenger remarks to his seat mate, "if one more engine goes out, we'll be up here forever."

I played a bunch of sports when I was younger. Football, hockey, tennis, squash, baseball and more. While I love playing them I find it really boring to watch most of them. At football parties I was usually in the kitchen with the girls....
They were more fun.

Only if our town is in it like last year, or the NHL playoffs. THAT'S good hockey, and very exciting to watch.

UPS package arrives today. huh. didn't order anything lately.

yup, has a label to me on it, from Cabelas. i had just gotten my package from them a few days ago.

open it up. oooh, nice blanket. but the order sheet is to someone in WA state. Debra someone. uh. oh.

turn the package over, sure enough, label to her too, but someone scratched it out. somehow, a label to me also got applied to the package.

look at the order slips, our orders were 20 min apart.

called Cabelas to let them know what happened, also called Debra (nice voice, sounded perky) to let her know about the misdirected blanket. well, it's for her daughter. Cabelas had also called her, new blanket is on the way today. yay.

packed up the blanket, it's on the way back today.

'Morning everyone

I love finding money in what I thought was junk.

I found two old parts, didn't have a clue what they were so I asked at the old vette forum.....and they said they were outboard parts! When I was about 20, I rebuilt an Evinrude 135 and these have been kicking around since then. Motor is long gone. Two little parts about six inches long, just sold on ebay for 130$.

I feel like a miner digging up gold.

......
