NKorea Warns of 'Tragic Doom' if Trump Doesn't 'Talk and Act Properly'

North Korea's government fired another salvo of words Saturday, taking aim at President Donald Trump's remarks and warning that the "American empire will meet its tragic doom" if the Trump administration does not "talk and act properly."

The statement was issued through North Korea's state-run media, reports ABC News, and complained about strategic nuclear assets being introduced into the Korean peninsula area.

"Of late, the president and other riffraff of the U.S. are trumpeting about 'military option' against the DPRK, claiming that they 'will not rule out a war,'" the North Korean statement read. "Meanwhile, they introduce huge strategic nuclear assets into the Korean peninsula, staging reckless nuclear war games and rendering the regional situation extremely tense."

The statement was released on the heels of a telephone call between China's President Xi Jinping and Trump, in which the Chinese leader urged a peaceful resolution to the tensions, and for both sides to avoid strong statements or actions.

Xi's call came hours after Trump warned North Korea that the U.S. military is "locked and loaded," and as the Pentagon said the United States and South Korea plan to proceed with a joint military exercise in 10 days.

On Saturday, North Korea further accused the United States of "doing all sorts of wrongs" to its country, while "styling itself the 'only superpower' in the eyes of the world."

"Now it finds itself in an ever worsening dilemma, being thrown into the grip of extreme security unrest by the DPRK [Democratic People's Republic of Korea, North Korea's official name]. This is tragicomedy of its own making."

Further, North Korea declared its military is "capable of fighting any war the U.S. wants is now on the standby to launch fire into its mainland, waiting for an order of final attack."

On Friday, Trump himself had yet another warning for North Korea, which has threatened to launch attacks on Guam, where several U.S. military assets are located.

"If he utters one threat in the form of an overt threat — which, by the way, he has been uttering for years, and his family has been uttering for years — or if he does anything with respect to Guam or any place else that's an American territory or an American ally, he will truly regret it, and he will regret it fast," the president said.

Later in the day, he reassured residents of Guam to "believe me, they will be very safe. And if anything happens to Guam, there's going to be big, big trouble in North Korea."
We need to start shooting down anything L'il Kim shoots that leaves N. Korea's territorial waters. We should have done this years ago, and then we wouldn't be here now. Regard any "test" as an attack.

North Korea Backs Off Guam Missile-Attack Threat

Kim Jong Un warns he could change his mind if the U.S. persists in ‘extremely dangerous reckless actions’

By Jonathan Cheng
Updated Aug. 14, 2017 9:36 p.m. ET

SEOUL—North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has decided not to launch a threatened missile attack on Guam, Pyongyang’s state media reported on Tuesday, but warned that he could change his mind “if the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions.”

The report, published early Tuesday, could help dial back tensions that had spiraled last week following an exchange of threats between North Korea and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Mr. Trump warned Pyongyang last week that the U.S. military was “locked and loaded” and could engulf the North in “fire and fury,” while North Korea, through its state media, had threatened to fire four missiles in a bid to surround the U.S. territory of Guam in “enveloping fire.”

North Korean state media said in its report Tuesday that Mr. Kim had made his decision not to fire on Guam after visiting a military command post and examining a military plan presented to him by his senior officers.

While Mr. Kim said he had decided not to launch the attack on Guam yet, he advised the U.S. “to take into full account” whether the current standoff was to its benefit. He also said it was incumbent on the U.S. to “stop at once arrogant provocations against the DPRK and unilateral demands and not provoke it any longer,” using an abbreviation for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the formal name for North Korea.

“If the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions on the Korean Peninsula and in its vicinity, testing the self-restraint of the DPRK, the [North] will make an important decision as it already declared,” the report quoted Mr. Kim as saying.

Mr. Kim added that the planned launch could still be carried out at any moment, and said that such a strike would be a “most delightful historic moment” that would “wring the windpipes of the Yankees and point daggers at their necks.”

One thing really changed in this metric. In the past, we had predictable Presidents. *Let's be honest here- Obama wasn't the only one that bent over for Kim. Bush's and Clinton weren't any different. Now all of a sudden goofball in N. Korea is confronted with goofball in Washington DC. Don't know about Kim, but I bet this scares the holy hell out of the Chinese. Not that they necessarily think Trump is crazy, but they can be sure that nothing they learned from prior presidents apply to this one.

And now this:

Quote:
The speed at which North Korea has ramped up its missile and nuclear defense programs within the last two years is reportedly due to purchases Kim Jong Un’s regime has made on a weapons black market linked to Ukraine and Russia, as the United States and the globe fret over a potential military conflict.

A new report released Monday by the International Institute for Strategic Studies explains the North has made “astounding strides” in missile development, and it could not have done so without a high-performance liquid-propellant engine, or LPE, provided by a “foreign source.”

“Claims that the LPE is a North Korean product would be more believable if the country’s experts had in the recent past developed and tested a series of smaller, less powerful engines, but there are no reports of such activities,” the report, penned by missile expert Michael Elleman, reads.

What military plan did li'l Kim examine? The one where he gets his ass handed to him by Trump, or maybe just maybe, they told him that he would just "go away".

Fatboy was very belligerent and threatening a couple of weeks ago but since China has announced it would not get involved if NK fired first.

He has changed his tune.

I can guarantee that China,Russia and Iran are watching with great interest. Trumps unpredictable- so any move is a cautious one. I'll bet the South China sea is the next war of words conflict.
