It all depends on the definition. Does it have any internal active electrical components?

a CRT can be deemed a vacuum tube.

Answered above w/o googling, but I recall this:

Scientists Are Bringing Back Vacuum Tubes for Computers of the Future

Scientists Are Bringing Back Vacuum Tubes for Computers of the Future

A group of scientists have developed super-efficient microscopic vacuum tubes that may be able to outperform semiconductors.

The two stereo amps above, I don't know the name CARY at all, never heard of them sounds like McIntosh got pirated.... the other amp with the Gold finish chassis looks ever much like a modern version of the ST70 dynaco.....been a while.....it was my first factory amp, about '69? or so.....

Yeah man, copper chassis is a restored/modified Dynaco St 70 from early 60s era.
Cary ( founded in '89 - newer company ) is one of the few tube amp companies made in America and they build some excellent equipment that doesn't break the bank compared to other high end offerings.

This one has been powered off since about 1977. I'm afraid to turn it on.

A Zenith Transoceanic my dad got as a sales reward in 1960 when he was a sales rep for Hoover. He gave it to me when I was 9 or 10. I was amazed at being able to listen to radio stations in foreign languages.

Get a Variac, and do the same thing....~25% power for a day, tubes just slightly warm, may even see the filaments in the dark....run up to about 40% for a few hours, then 60% and you may even hear it try to work....leave it there for a day or so, then 80% and it should work really well....that would be about 100 vac or so input.....
