our African Grey is 23 years old. He says about 70 words & phrases.

These birds do not invent words or sentences; they can only mimic/repeat what they hear...... :leaving:

My younger sister had an Amazon parrot named Bubba. Her dogs ate Bubba. I liked that bird. Now she has a 4 year old African Grey. Never knew an animal could be that loud.

That's great! We had a parakeet that said quite a few phrases, but nothing like that.

Having cats (which naturally want to go after birds)... we taught "Oscar" to bite at the cats paws whenever they approach him. One "nip" at a cats paw and the cats run away in fright (and pain).

If he ever gets out of his cage when we're not home... hopefully Oscar will keep the cats at distance.

my wife went away to a trip with her friends last time she did that i bought the zx14, this time i was going to buy a parrot but she said that if i do , it will be a bad day for me , yea i wanted one badly but knowing how crazy she is, i will just look at videos of them
