:Jeff '79: He ran out of gas and gave up.

No Michael Bay wrecking car that exploded while inconveniencing no one and killing the driver.

A couple of long pursuits today. :funny:

Los Angeles has got to be one of the worst cities to try and run from the police...especially our freeways. Yet, everyday, there's someone trying to run.

The strange thing is, though, it takes me two hours through "Falling Down" level gridlock anytime I have to drive to LA. The high speed chase knuckleheads, though, seem to be able to drive for hours without coming to a complete stop.

WTF.

The traffic is a problem, but your LEOS are pussies. F*ckers run all day long in SoCal. F*ckers steal cop cars in SoCal chases. "Suspect is becoming aggressive... back off... go into 'follow mode'... let him have "room to run".

Texas, on the other hand... run there, and they're falling over each other to see who gets to ram the suspect at speed in traffic. "Suspect is becoming aggre... ok, Bob rammed him. He's rolled it."

And I'm watching them like...oh, they hopped on the 5. It's 5:30. They're done. Suddenly, it's like the Red Sea has parted. :funny:

I was coming home from work and got stuck on the 101 when a chase was coming up the freeway in the opposite direction. She stopped on the freeway, so they stopped traffic on the freeway in both directions. That's an hour of my life I'll never get back.

People were so pissed. Screaming at her to just get out of the f'cking car and surrender.

Another time, a chase ended on the 101 and I got stuck right near where the guy got out. Not quite to the next exit, but well past the previous one. They took the guy in custody, but smoke was coming out of the back of the vehicle and we had to wait for the bomb squad to clear it.

That's when my office was down on Wilshire and Normandie. Loved the area, but not the drive. We've relocated offices...six miles from the house. 15 minutes door to door.

I do miss the area of the old office, though. Very eclectic. Great restaurants. Lots of fun energy. The valley is boring in comparison. :(

They don't want to be under a federal consent decree again. ;)

Plus, we don't have a lot of cow pastures to roll people into. :leaving:
