View Full Version : Computer Argh!
Come home and turn on my desktop. Got a black screen with white writing saying it had a boot error and to insert the disc and repair.:wtf: That didn't work. It said the disc was wrong for the OS. Funny since it's the disc I loaded onto the SSD when I built the computer.:banghead: So I turned on the laptop to get some clues what to do and the wireless connection isn't working. :cuss:
I tried changing the boot drive and installing Windows on a different drive but it said Windows can't be installed on any of the 4 I had left. :cuss::cuss: Had to click create or new or whatever it was and then install Windows to it. :willy:
Then I had to get everything installed all over again :99pewtercoupe:
Had to get the modem reset also for the laptop to work. Weird since another laptop and a Nook both connected wirelessly.
Is today Monday?

Same sort of shit I been battling for some months now, Comcast/Xfinity service, and wife has no issues, but methinks I have a few enemies like off FB or some such site/link from there.....what it primarily does is disable FF browser, and once in a while the entire Win10 OS......give it the reboot so often my toes hurt......
:issues:
It's suspicious that this happens when the free update to 10 is ending. :skia:

Nothing that couldn't be fixed with the proper application of high explosives... Just sayin'..:D

Or just reinstalling Windows.
Luckily I had a drive set up to copy files.
This computer has been working fine since I reinstalled Windows. My old computer just up and quit on me one day while I was using it. It wouldn't power on at all. I put a new power supply in and still nothing. I finally put in a new MB, CPU and RAM and still nothing. Just a click and nothing else. The LAN cable does light up where it plugs in though. :toetap:

Look; you are just gonna have to give up the Compaq.

I suspect you've been watching and quite possibly downloading Hillary prOn. It's the only explanation. And the fact mrvette is experiencing similar problems is quite telling.

Replace your computer every five years and never download porn. Also never vote Granny Scandals. SSD's die and when they do it's like bam. So back that baby up.

I have the HDD I was using for my boot drive before I got the SSD so I will try it and see what happens. :cert:
