That looks a lot like Lake of the Ozarks. Gotta have a big boat on that lake.

Meh... cake walk with twins and a crew.
Get back to me when he can stick a single on a gas dock, between 2 retarded expensive yachts in a 20 knot cross wind with an opposing current. :yesnod:

I've been there many times. I'm sure my friends who lived there were on the lake that day, they have a killer SeaRay 350 Sundancer. (http://www.searay.com/page.aspx/pageid/160944/pmid/344061/350-Sundancer.aspx)

Interesting factoid. Lake of the Ozarks boasts more coastline than California, and has Missouri's only privately-owned toll road. A toll road about 1/2 mile long that saves you about 45 minutes if you need it.

Tons of golf courses, great big lake, not really super expensive, lots of stuff to do for a place that size. Could do a lot worse.

Been there a couple of times. Problem is that it is a freaking zoo on the weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Agree with you about the golf courses and not super expensive.

Oh yes, that part does not appeal to me but then again I typically go there in May or September just for that very reason. Plus that way my friends Steve and Susan have plenty of room in their lake house for us to stay there, instead of having to stay at my dad's place south of Jeff City.

I know it's not very lofty but riding in an offshore powerboat is on my bucket list. And I want the shit scared outta me. I don't want the tourist ride.

I took a cruise in a twin-engine (blown 454s) cigarette boat on Lake Erie once. We got up to 95 MPH. Mildly terrifying actually.

So you've gotten fuel too at Piney Narrows Yacht Haven , right across from Mears Point Marine ( right next to Harris' Crab House  ) in Kent Narrows MD.
Tide changes get water rushing thru there :willy:

Not been there by boat anyway. I've had some fun docking in Naples and Ft. Myers FL though. Feel like the poor man pulling up in a little skiff trying to slide in and out without bow thrusters or twins.
My wife is watching the kids and I have to navigate solo with the dock master who at times is a 19 year old kid that doesn't know how to snub a line. :Jeff '79:

My Mom and StepDad had a '38 Carver at a slip in Mears Point Marina. I would tie my little 18' I/O ( 4.3L Chevy V-6 ) across the front of their slip.
