I've seen someone post several times...but it might have been "over there", with a 70's restored Civic that they wanted to sell. I'll give a Barn Buck to whomever can tell me who that is. I know...I'm generous like that...:D

I have never seen a 70s Civic that wasn't a rusted out POS.

Check the car close, OP.

It's been completely restored, at least from the pix I remember. I just sold my Jeep and, for whatever stupid reason, I've always wanted one of those Civics! lol Hey...if Dixie can have a firetruck, I can have a POS 70's Civic!

No, it was a manual. To be fair, the carburetor was the only real problem. If I could have afforded a new one, it might have been a decent car.

My carb was the suck too. The coup de grâce was a cracked head between the valves.

I had a 1975 Civic with a 76 motor and transmission. It was a good little car, we drove the chit out of that little car. I drove it all over the place. I sold it and bought a 1978 Accord coupe with an 79 engine.

At the time I was building Hondas with another guy, we'd buy wrecked ones and mix and match parts. We did about 15 cut in half cars. We'd buy one hit in the front with a good back end, then by one with a good front and bad back. Saw through the floor and through the windshield pillars. Match them up and weld it up.
I drove one of those cars 150K miles. It was fun and good business. :yesnod:
