Smart Car Biofuel Conversion (http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5655300060.html)
Do you regret your Smart Car every time you refuel with premium non renewable gasoline? Are you constantly afraid of a head on collision with a squirrel? Tired of looking up to see bicyclists cutting you off? But you still want all of your friends to know you own a Smart Car?! Well I have the perfect solution for you! Put your Smart Car in the bed of this diesel truck! Then you can safely drive on Houston roads without a worry and burning renewable fuels!
Thank you for considering my 2003 Silverado 2500HD Duramax with 5spd Allison transmission. I purchased this truck in 2011 with the intention of driving it for 500k miles. Unfortunately, a recent job change means the truck no longer fits in my parking garage at work. As such, I've maintained, modified and repaired it with the intention of keeping the truck. This truck has served as an excellent daily commuter, and road trip car for us, we did not regularly tow with the truck. The mods and maintenance items are too many to list:
So after a week of no hits on the diesel...how about this ad?

I like the truck but it's not in the budget. ( 2wd would be a bitch in the snow around here too in the winter )

It's gotten me stuck in wet grass twice...once in a parking lot at F1  But I'm in flat Texas, no need for a 4wd, just more shit to break anyways.
I skimmed Craigslist to guesstimate at least a starting price...there was a 350k mile 2003 duramax listed at $9,995, so I figured $12.5 wouldn't at least be a snobbish starting point...I've probably put $6k worth of parts into this thing over the last 5yrs.
When I got the truck, it still had the dummy fuse in the trailer brake signal wire, so whatever the prior owned used it for, it wasn't heavy trailers...I'm assuming it was a yard crew or something.

I like that it has the tuner. One setting for fuel mileage and another for towing. I have a 24' pontoon boat and some of the "hills" in New York tax my 6.0L
My friend had a Jeep CJ-5 that used to stuck regularly at another friends on an ice patch. Lock in the hubs, drive 15 feet, get out and unlock the hubs to drive off

 at F1, I had just agreed to help tow a Toyota out of the lot...then I made it 10" or so and got stuck...a John Deere Gator had to tow me out, then I pulled the Toyota out..what a flipping mess.
When I towed that tractor for my father in law, I actually turned the turner down to 0...so it monitored transmission operations but no additional power...the truck handled the load fine, I just didn't want to break anything.
A week of zero calls means you are priced over market. Drop the price each week. When you start getting calls, you know you just got in the ballpark. Remember, all the tuning and extra fun parts mean nothing on resale, and unless you are willing to finance the truck, people paying cash expect to pay less than going to a dealer. The tuning and fun parts allow you to close the first serious buyer to show up.
Oh, and dude selling a 350k mile truck for $ 10K? I want some of what he's smoking. Unless it's "Kush," in which case, I'll just wait for him to OD and buy the truck at the estate sale for about $ 2K.

My impression of craigslist is the price doesn't matter there will be low balls and scammers. Maybe 10 minutes after updating I got an email ( I think a scammer). We'll see I don't mind coming down some for a smooth transaction, but I'm not hurting to sell it tomorrow either.
I don't think the go fast parts ad value, I do think the new fuel pump and injectors in this engine being value, as that's nearly $4k in parts alone and a common failure point. Idk we'll see what this ad brings me in a week and reasses.
More miles but 4x4
2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Duramax 4x4 (http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5648624426.html)
Year older, smaller cab but fewer miles
02 Chevy Silverado 2500hd Diesel (http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5646190445.html)
Year newer but 70k miles more looks clean actually
2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD for sale (http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5641619704.html)
2yrs newer 95k more miles and more money
2005 Chevy 2500HD LT LLY Price is OBO (http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5661135564.html)
Isk compared to CL ads it strikes me as not outrageously priced....I couldn't find the 300k listing.
That 2004 has been hit pretty hard. Notice the paint between the front and rear doors do not match? I'm guessing it got hit in the ass, thus the mention of new bumper and new hitch.

Fail.

You northerners might have issues with the 2wd, but the lack of rust is probably something new too.

Probably be cheaper to make it 4wd than to repair the body rot on a native Yankee truck

That is why I am looking into a southern truck. My 01 is dissolving in the driveway.

He needs 4WD for some of the "accessible" places folks have their tractors he would pick up.
