I'd like to introduce my new to me Ruger PC-9 (Police Carbine 9mm). (Politically Correct 9mm in NYS). :D
It was made for 10 years from 1996 - 2006 for LE, prison guards and the public. Due to poor sales, production ceased in 2006.

I've put 40 rounds through it, of most every reload that I have made, as well as manufactured bullets, and it eats everything. I am ecstatic as to it'scondition and it is accurate as all get-up with the stock iron sights.
Notice it is shorter than the 10/22 which I really like for obvious reasons.

It accepts 10, 15, 20, & 30 round mags.(Ruger makes them all)
I already have 12, 10 round mags, but as I live here in NYS, I'm not allowed to use those evil high capacity mags. :D
Mag change out is an absolute easy dream too.

Ban it.
or... assign it an evil sounding name, and tax it to death.
9MM is PC. I have something like this.

But then you'd have to move to a state that allows free men to be armed. :sadangel:

Tell me about it.
This wasn't my first choice in automatic weapons but the more I thought about it, the more I like this platform. I would have liked a pistol grip but nooooo !!
This is a rifle with a mag that can be used as a pistol grip. It's a bare bones semi-auto that will stand up to weather and still work. That's pretty much all I want.
9mm is cheap because I reload and the mags are interchangeable with my Ruger P-95 pistol.
2 platforms, one caliber, easy bug out bag.:seasix:
At 65 yards with iron sights it's dead on. I haven't had the opportunity to really reach out with it yet.
It's heavy like the ranch rifle, so the recoil is minimal with no rise.
I like it !

Another 40 down range.
Here are the first 10 at 60 yards and the second ten at 60. Mind you, this is the first time I've used this thing and it's with iron sights. I love it. I'm not even gonna put a scope on it. Whoever had this before me has the sight dialed in just the way I like it. These are from a bench in my barn at 1/4" plate.

:yesnod: That's why I pictured my 10/22 next to it.
From Wiki:
Both the PC9 (the 9mm version) and the PC4 (.40 S&W) are patterned after the highly successful Ruger 10/22 carbine. The Carbine is intended as a shoulder weapon for police use, although it is available for sale to civilians as well. The intent is that an officer will carry a Ruger P Series pistol as a sidearm, and keep a Carbine available (for example, in his/her patrol vehicle) as a shoulder weapon if needed.

Nice score. It will give you excellent service, and I think you just beat the next panic situation judging from recent news reports.

Ya, no kidding. I thought the same exact thing.
Too bad I just sold another that I probably would have got another $200 for since the latest news.
Oh well, like you said, at least I scored this one prior to the incident.

Congrats, good to see it shoots very well for you :seasix:
I went "dredging in a local deep lake" and shall we say, caught my line on this.
