Today I was working on a car with some of my old buddies(60s-70s) and we took a beer break. I was just sitting on a bench looking at the car(57 Chev) thinking about back then when we raced every weekend and all the good times we had.

I didn't start sobbing or anything but a few tears rolled down my cheeks because of that little flashback.Does this happen to anyone else or is it just a sign of my advancing senility............:)

I came close to tears last Sunday evening when my daughter went through her induction ceremony for National Junior Honors Society.

My life, and career, are based on my brains. I did VERY well in school. It pleases me to no end that my daughter is following in my footsteps.

The only time I tear up is when I sit on my nuts accidentally. So, yes, I know what you're talking about.

I got a little misty at the ceremony when my youngest graduated from basic training for the USN.

The Star Spangled Banner played and sang the way it way written......

Other than that, not much.

She will be racing, and she looks forward to it. She's been a passenger many many times.

The 2006 C6 will most likely be her DD when she's 16. She will be racing the Z with me.

I got teared up when my dad died and when we buried him. It's been almost 3 years now and I still get teared up on the anniversary of his passing.:sadangel:

The comedians at our local comedy joint hate me. My wife and I sit in the front row, along the wall every time we go. They typically can't match wits with us. It's frequently quite humorous. :yesnod:

Laugh-In Comedy Cafe. College Parkway. If you want to go some night, I have a TON of tickets. I bought several hundred dollars worth a few years back and they don't expire.

I bought a car of Pro Team 4 years ago and shipped it to Australia. When it arrived it was not what they said it and the motor seized up after 5 minutes of running it. But being a guy that can throw a spanner around I new I had to just jump into it. I worked on the car for 3 days straight every week for a year. I was exhausted trying to fit my work, family, and most of all my children in. I still remember when I filled the car with coolant and for the first time starting the motor and running the cam in. The car was backed out the work shop half in the rain and the front under cover and the crispy cold air blowing smoke rings out the two rear exhausts. I sat there listening to the motor purring like a kitten and my eyes welled up, my Bro looked at me and said I can feel your pain. I couldn't answer him and just looked back at the rear of the car. I think more than anything it was loosing a year of my children's life that cut into me ! Stewy

I am pretty sentimental, and mostly cry for happy reasons.. or happy memories.
............or I laugh myself into tears due to a warped sense of humor .

And, I would always want a man to shed a tear, A man with a tender heart is coveted. I am glad to read that there are still men with that quality. :hurray:

I miss my kids being little and playing with them. My daughters hand always grasping my pinkie and laughing at me. My son squishing my cheeks or he and I playing catch.

I miss being able to crawl into my dad's lap or the sight of him at his desk, and my mom making me mac and cheese.

I miss my life that was once simpler before jobs, divorce, disappointments and setbacks.

And then I turn around and it's half over already, and all the things and people that made it so much happier are gone.

Yeah. I sure do. :sadangel:
