Looks OK to me, for a small, light trailer. The bumper mount ball might be too high for a small trailer, and without a class III hitch, that is certainly one way to lower the ball height. Looks like a 1 7/8" ball, so it probably is for a small, light trailer.

Anyone that does that isn't all their. I can just see homeboy connecting a four horse trailer next. :Jeff '79:

Well among other wrongs that "hitch" will sway real easy back and forth with something attached to the ball in only a little driving with only a single point attachment

That hitch (minus the ball located in the slide in part)) will allow a drop down or a rise if that is what your trying to accomplish if you installed it right!

While I agree with both of you, again, I live in Houston, AKA illegal alien central. I've seen....some things. In the grand scheme of things, this isn't the worst example of Mexigeering I have ever seen.

When the ball mount starts swinging, it will help the trailer turn a little better, although the odds of jackknifing when backing do go up a bit.

I pulled a 16' trailer loaded with a 1956 T-Bird on it with a 1966 T-Bird with a hitch mounted through the sheet meal of the trunk. Towed it 200 miles. (I was sober, too.)
