plenty of people every year get bad legal advice from internet forums. some of the advice is good (don't talk to the police without a lawyer), but other is of dubious value (always let police search your stash house so they won't find the body in the trunk :slap: )

see, that's good advice right there. and you can usually find homeless bums in the better parts of large cities. they work pretty cheap. bottle of Colt 45 and a few singles will last you at least 4 blocks....

Just like any professional advice, you can get good and bad advice. I am generally satisfied with the lawyers I have chosen and have been lucky. However, for some serious problems, I am going to spend the money to get the best. I will be either contacting a DC lawyer, a NYC lawyer or a Madison, Ms. Lawyer for the big stuff.

I'm honored....

many years ago, a baseball manager didn't like a call, but he knew if he argued balls and strikes, he'd be tossed. so he approached the umpire, who knew what was coming, and started off with "you know, we took a poll last year of who the best umpires were, and you came in second."

at this point, the umpire is thinking, ok, that's not bad, no reason to toss him yet.

the manager let it sink in for a beat, and continued, "everyone else was tied for first."

gone.
