HAWKINS, TX (KLTV) - 76-year old Dan Turner is hospitalized after he was reportedly attacked by a neighbor's domesticated hog.
Daughter-in-law Jessica Hays says Turner was sitting in a chair at his home in Hawkins, when "he heard the pig coming and he turned around, and the pig was right there on him. It pushed him and started biting him."
Family members of Dan Turner say the hog belongs to his neighbor, who kept the animal in a pen, but recently had allowed it to run loose.
Hays says since then, her father-in-law has been attacked 3 times in just 2 weeks.
Jessica Hays says this attack is, by far, the worst.
She told KLTV 7 "this time, it's pretty bad because he ended up having a heart attack because (the hog) attacked him."
We attempted to contact the owner of the hog to get their side of the story, even knocking on their door, but no one answered.
Turner is expected to be released from the hospital in the next few days.
