First I have a 1997 Ford Thunderbird LX Limited Edition. V6, auto, full power including driver's seat. One of the last two hundred produced. I am third owner, bought three years ago. All original except for the stereo. Currently at 76k miles.

Second, a 1995 Chrysler Lebaron GTC. 3.0 V5, full power. Last year produced. I am third owner of this one also, bought last year. Also original except for stereo at 105k miles.

Number three, 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Supercharged Series II 3800 V6. Third owner again. I bought this to replace the Crown Vic I bought last year as my dd (son has it now). Everything but sunroof. Even has a HUD! Currently at 165k miles.

Lastly, a 1993 Mazda Miata MX5 Bought this one a couple days ago. One repaint five years ago, two year old top and clutch. Original interior with factory cassette player. Nice little ride! Mileage is a little over 108k.

Had 63 options one the DSO. Only thing it missed was T-tops and power driver seat. Lady said she wanted a Z28 with no stripes and this was as close as she could get. I have always regretted letting that one go. Sold it in 2002 with right at 60k.

2007 Jaguar XK. My DD. 1956 Thunderbird, owned itsince 1975, want to part with it this year. 1967 Corvette SB, auto, AC, and both tops, 47K actal miles. 1987 El Camino, every option available. 1976 Triumph TR-6. Best in Show at Vintage Triumph Registry National Convention in 2001.

I still want a Porsche before I die.

I had a couple of Elkies. One was a 1981 model I bought is 1999 with only 46k. I've had almost a dozen Tbirds but they were all the 1989/97 models.

The 5.3 was part of it. Most of the RCSB are 6 bangers, then a heavy portion of the V8s were the 4.8. Add in I wanted an LS with all of the power options really narrowed the choices down. After all of that criteria was met, try finding one that didn't have issues was difficult as well as the "nice" ones were asking stupid money. 30-50% over book, and they were selling fast. I found this one on Craigslist, met all of my requirements, made a deal and flew up and drove it back. A 2 owner truck that had been garage kept, well maintained, never wrecked. Bonus was the rear disk brake option (I never found another with them), already had a bed cover and spray in bed liner, true duals with a nice sound... everything I had planed on doing. It did need tires so I added the 2014 Silverado 18s, another CL steal ($500, tires had right about 15K on them) and I switched out the overhead console with one from a Tahoe that has homelink. Added an AirRaid intake tube and switched out the fuel sender.

Well, nothing exciting here, a 2008 Camry with 99K on the clock and a 2015 Nissan Sentra. I've pretty much lost interest in the car hobby although I'm still a race fan. I don't even have a garage now, so my Corvette days are behind me.

I'm glad I owned my muscle cars in the 70s when they were cheap. Good times and good memories.:yesnod:

Make sure you do the trans maintenance on that Sentra. An extended warranty might be good insurance, too. Nissan employee for almost twenty years. Just sayin'.

I have the rear disc brakes but only the 4.8. I took out the center jumpseat/console and put in a Tahoe center console and a Tahoe overhead console. I added an MP3 input in the dash and had a few upgrades done to the transmission when it was rebuilt. I had the stripes added to the hood.

It is starting to show its age and I am on the fence about repairing or replacing. I had a notion to replace the 4.8 with a Corvette engine, but I am not sure that is something I could tackle. Mechanically, yes, but the programming and all the other crap is over my pay grade.

I drive it like a stolen rental with its azz on fire and it keeps on going. 185k on the meter.

The 'stable' has been pretty stable over the last few years. The only real change has been dividing them between the winter house in FL and the summer place in MI.
