I don't think she will ever win a race though. I don't think Montoya will have mush of a career in Nascar either.

I think she can win a race. There is alot of money with that race team. JR Motorsports (Dale JR) makes 29 million a year. She is way ahead of last years finishes,and if you think Nascar is fixed she will win a race. Bayne,Patrick win races this year,that would help Nascar.

BTW....JP Montoya already has 3 NASCAR wins....1 in Nationwide, 2 in cup. Not phenominal, but he's been competitive every year he's raced. Granted, his wins are all on road courses, but Michael Waltrips have all been on super speedways. Everyone has their forte.

I don't know about that... she has been in the IRL for 6 seasons in top notch cars and has 1 win, which she won on fuel mileage with about a 5th place car.

Over those same years, her teammates in the same cars won 12 races including an Indy 500 and a series championship.

She is a good driver, she wouldn't be where she is if she wasn't, but she has yet to show anything that says she is capable of being a contender for wins on a regular basis. It certainly would be some publicity if she could get a win somehow.

There are many drivers who are better than her waiting for the chance.

But as long as she's capable, pretty, and a female, they'll use her like a whore.

I will be shocked if she doesnt win a race. She will luck into one. Will not be the fastest car on that day but she will win. The best drivers in nascar all luck into a win. It will just be her day.

I think the only way she ever wins a race is:

A.) On a road course. She'll have one of the best cars out there and 99% of the Nationwide guys can't make it 3 laps without hitting something.

B.) A race that none of the cup guys are in. There will be a few this year with the new rules.

C.) Just like you said, something ridiculous that lets her win a race that she never sould have won (just like her lone IRL win).


Long story short is that she is driving for a team with quite a few wins over the last couple of years in a series that isn't exactly overflowing with talent these days. If she doesn't win... well... at lesat she's hot.

I have heard that Smoke's and Newman's back-up race cars are going to be in Oxnard, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. If anyone is interested I will try and take some pictures. :D

Sure we would like to see some pictures. I think Danica may run some cup races for Stewart-Haas racing next year.
