Took my sons up to FanX (comic con) here in SLC last week.
They are big avengers fans, as am I. Stood in line to do a meet and greet with Jeremy Renner. Also met a few of the cast members from Walking Dead.
Jeremy is a great guy. Must be tough to stand there all day and grin and bear it. But he was polite asked us a few questions, shook his hand.. and the boys have a picture to put on their wall. :hurray:

Very cool!
Always fun to get to meet celebrities; well, most of the time anyway.
Glad to hear he was personable and having fun with the whole gig.
I find most of the time they just want to be regular people and be approached/treated as such.
Sidebar; I knew you were tall but he looks like he's 5' 7-8". :Jeff '79:

.... and Tom Cruise still has to stand on a box to see eye-to-eye with Renner...

My son on the left of Jeremy is 6'1 and son on the right is just about 6. So I would say he's 5'10 (ish)
Yeah I agree with the statement above. I was genuine and thanked him for coming. The guy doesn't need the money, and I'm sure it's a way to give back to the fans.
I was telling my kids, there wasn't a vehicle for us to do this when I was a kid. There was no way I was going to meet Mr T or Bo or Luke Duke. Unless I hung out at a seedy strip club in west hollywood.
I think the meet and greet w/photo was $100.00 Well worth it.. good times.

Very cool thing for him to do. I know he's done well at the box office and secured some substantial roles the last 6-8 years.
It is really nice to be able to spend a few bucks and get to meet some great musicians, actors, comedians etc.
Biggest surprise so far was Joe Satriani. Very pensive, shy and mellow guy.

He was at the Comic convention here in Houston earlier this year.
The cost to go stand next to him for a pic were nuts!
That said, looks like your boys were living a dream and they will always have that memory.
Fun was had by all and that's what counts. :yesnod: :seasix:
This wasn't bad I didn't think. Around $100.00 and we got the picture and got to chat with him for a minute. Yeah.. the boys loved it.

There have been cars that I REALLY wanted that I have been unable to buy simply because I couldn't fit.
Lotus Esprit Turbo
Testarossa
Ferrari 355
The Lambo was ok, until I put on a helmet to drive on the track. My head was sideways.
I've considered corrective surgery.

Some will balk at the price for a minute of chatting and a photo. But for $100.00 you got more than a photo and a chat. You created great memories for your boys that they'll cherish.
For those kinds of things, you can't always name a price and say it was too much. They experienced joy and happiness, and got to do it with dad there. Win-Win.
Good on you!

That's exactly how I felt about it. They also met some of the cast of the Walking Dead.. that was a highlight too. :seasix:

Was Daryl's hair as greasy as it is on the show ?
I remember meeting Katey Sagal and Charlie Hunnan on some motorcycle thingy. Charlie led a procession down for a charity ride.

Actually we originally had a photo op with Daryl.. but he cancelled at the last minute. But I'm going to guess and say yes.. it was as greasy.
