Is it to look "taller" than you are?
I saw on another forum, someone listed a half dozen or so vehicles. Some they sold.
Is it to keep their "cred", or some other reason?
Your thoughts?:waiting:
On a more car oriented forum, it adds credibility; I see it on Rennlist. This is a bull-shitter's forum, it has about as much to do with cars as it does with potatoes. Feel free to list previously owned cars, trucks, mowers, snow-blowers, air conditioners, cameras, blow dryers, dogs, cats, iguanas, waffles, band saws....

If anything, I imagine they keep them around to show that they might have some related knowledge to anyone with a similar car.
Also cuts down on the "What happened to that __________ you had?"

For internet cred. I know people that have owned a dozen Corvettes, yet still suck at driving them and know nothing about them. I also know people that have only owned 1 or 2 that can drive the wheels off them or rebuild them in their sleep.
I had actually had a dipshit cop refuse to fill out an accident report after someone T-Boned my Stingray because in his words, "I have owned a bunch of Corvettes and that isn't even $1,000 of damage". Car had about $2k of damage.
Fortunately I didn't have to fight with the insurance company because the other guy admitted fault.

Here's a great example of "internet cred"
1987 IROC-Z 5spd. 13.4@110mph burning up 245/50 street tires - stolen : (
1999 Camaro SS 6spd. Plate "10SCNDS" - sold
2011 BMW 335is 7DCT - lease returned
2013 BMW 335i M sport 8AT Estoril Blue- current
2014 Infiniti Q60 Sport 7AT- wifey's
2016/17 Camaro SS/1LE/Z28 - BMW lease is up 3/20/16 and will decide then.
A $3,000 iroc, a '99 Camaro which probably ran 12s, but tried to be funny on the plate, a leased BMW, and the possibility of one day owning a new 16/17 Camaro
i once drove my dad's Pinto for a bit. it was yellow. no AC. two door. ran better when we replaced the missing bolts holding the engine to the transmission.

2007 Cobalt SS - flat now
1993 Miata - still a chick car
1999 Corvette - Internet cred machine from 10 years ago
