I'm having one now: Little squiggly lightning bolts in my eyes, almost impossible to see anything, much less type. No pain, except for the dull headache that will happen after the squiggles are gone.

I have had exactly one...Started as a dot in the center of my vision. It grew slowly, looking like a kaleidoscope. I couldn't see through it. Once it reached a size of an apparent few inches in diameter at about arms length (hard to judge, but just what it "felt" like) it formed a hole in the middle that I could see through. It continued to grow. Over the course of a few hours it grew outside of my vision. No pain, just the visual...

I do get regular "normal" migraines if I fail to take my meds. I battled them continuously for a few years a while back...now they're, thankfully, rare.

My sister gets ocular migraines somewhat regularly. For her they are precursors to regular ones. She describes hers as a moving black and white staircase.

I get them all the time, and they are annoying as shit.

I get them. Like a crinkly, neon colored ribbon, curved like a semicircle. Blurred vision, lasts about 15 min. No pain after.

Are you sure it's ocular migraine? Sounds more like your co-star aimed poorly on the money shot to me...

I got them when I was pregnant. They didn't hurt, but they messed up my vision pretty well. Thankfully, I only got one once while I was driving. :willy:

Sounds like you folks need to sign up for medical marijuana cards.

Bright light shined directly into my eyes sets them off. Feels like I got hit edgewise with a 2x4 right in my right eye. Difficult to focus, upset stomach and balance is a little off. Different colored bright "lights" when I have my eyes closed.

Quiet and dark room for a few hours until they subside. Luckily they don't happen too often.

Yep, first one sure freaked me out. No pain/headache during or after and mine only last 20 minutes or so.

They precede the pain for me. When I get one, I know I have about 15 mins to get some medication going, to try and head off the pain.

I used to get them everyday until I switched to a GF diet. That and other related symptoms have subsided since.

Girl friend diet? Eating ***** gets rid of these symptoms? Hmmmm...
