Pink is for Reserves. Wendy is fully retired from 20 yrs active duty, joining Fleet Reserve. Bluish-grey is the order of the day!

And, retirement does NOT suck!

When I joined 20 yrs ago I joined the Navy Reserve as a TAR Baby! Now know as FTS - Full Time Support. So I have a pink retired ID card. :cheers:

Glad to be apart of the Retired ranks. But just started a new job as a contract aircraft mechanic working for the Navy. Hard to let go I guess!:D

Yes :yesnod: I told my CMC I did not want a retirement ceremony. They did a surprise impromptu ceremony and gave me and Navy Commendation Metal award and "piped me over the side"!

unlike you Wendy, I have no desire to turn wrenches after I retire. I did my time getting soaked with hydraulic fluid, EGW, coolanol, engine oil and jet fuel to realize that there's easier ways to make money

I felt the same way, but with the way the economy is right now ya do what ya have to. Got a good deal I could not pass up.

Thanks :iagree: And the current contract is up in Sep. Let just hope they renew the contract!!

All the contact guys I work with use to be in the squadron and we all worked together. It's like a Squadron reunion!
