I'm still looking for one.
NYS sucks so I'm relegated to only a few options. I also don't want to break the bank on one. Could I build one?
I found this and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this Citadel in 9mm M-1 clone?

I know it is considered a handgun, but I am lusting after the CZ Scorpion EVO. You would probably have to move to get one though!

Pistol Caliber Carbines are FUN FUN FUN.
How about a lever action in .38/357? I recently purchased a Rossi 92 (Winchester 92 copy) in .38/357 and that thing is FUN!

I recall seeing a "carbine kit" that used your pistol frame. That would get you around another documented by the state of NY firearm.
Google "carbine kits for pistols" :yesnod:

Rossis sell for about $500 hereabouts. That is a lot of $ for a fun gun. I recently built a 16 inch barreled, flat top 9mm AR from parts which were specifically sourced to be as cheap as I could get... I have $505 in the complete weapon to include iron sights and a 32 round mag. Add a no name red dot and two additional magazines and I'm still under $600. It runs perfect, and my only gripes are the milspec trigger pull, and it has a M4 barrel profile which is a bit heavy for a pistol caliber carbine. PM me for specifics.

MechTech has been around for quite awhile now, Their carbine kits reportedly run just fine, and require no paperwork or FFL to purchase as the pistol frame is already the registered component. Mailed direct to your home in a few days.
I have an AR 45 that uses Grease gun mags. 30 rounds of .45 ACP will really ruin a bad guys day.

Mech Tech was my next homework project last night but I got tired and signed off.
We talked about building one a few months ago, and I think that may be a good way to go.

Thanks Mark. :seasix:
I'm off to Punta Cana for a week tomorrow, so I'll probably start looking for those parts when I get back. I'm sure that I'll have a few questions, but that's a huge help right there. :cert:

Believe it or not the Hi Point 995TS is a great 9mm carbine. I've had a couple. The pistols are good for paperweights but the carbine is great. Very accurate with a red dot sight at fifty yards. Plus they can be had for under $400. Do a little research on them.
Another good choice is a Bushmaster AR15 in 9MM. A little more than what your price range is but another option. I'm looking for one myself.
