Unfortunately, in this picture, the CAR makes YOU look extremely small.

Bad photoshop is bad. If I were home, I'd dig up the picture of me sitting in a red Diablo coupe. I'm bent at a 45 degree angle in the front seat.:rofl::rofl:

What does it say when the car that makes you look small is tiny itself?

Not really, no.

There's a reason 308's are asking more money than Testarossas.. and it ain't because Magnum P.I. was a better show...

Well, you're on F-Chat as am I. Both of those cars have their issues. Condition and provenance are more indicative of specific value than anything.

Since when do facts have anything to do with an opinion? :D

I overlook a myriad of problems with the Countach because I love it, and I damn the Testarossa as junk because it has a few problems with reasonable solutions, simply because I dislike them, intensely...

This one looks normal. The other one is freakishly weird, cuz it's a tiny car.

Were the photos taken by a child, or perhaps a woman of diminutive stature? My bet is the photographer was a shorty...

Money for some of these is nutz... I get it, but then again I don't. My wifes like, "how much? for a car?"

No sale @ $475K

Apparently not even close to the reserve...

Methinks someone was too proud of it.

Or they had no intention of selling it at the auction. I find it hard to believe that a knowledgeable car collector would bid over four times what a car is worth just because it was in a TV show 30 years ago. And inexperienced collectors typically aren't qualified to bid that kind of money on a car at auction.

Did you ever drive that thing? They drive like shit and you can only see directly in front of you. Couple that with a clutch that feels like it is going to go at anytime and a steering wheel dripping with sweat because you are driving a f***ing Countach and you hop out of that thing ready for a drink.

Maybe trying to build an artificial value by offering it "X" amount of times at auction with a high price? :dunno:

All they need is one buyer :slap:

Most likely this is the explanation. I think I know where this car has been and it would not surprise me if the bidding wasn't 100% legitimate.

I'm the polar opposite. I was never a fan of the Countach.

For my eye anyway the 365 GTB/4 Daytona would be the car I'd own if money were no object. And NOT the Spyder. Sonny Crocket be damned.
