China has no rating system, like the USA, so Chinese officials usually work with studios and film makers to create a cut of a film that can be seen by the broad Chinese audience.
Apparently, this wasn't possible with Deadpool because the necessary cuts wouldn't have left much movie. So, Deadpool has been banned by the Chinese State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT).
So, we have an idea what will be a highly pirated movie in China this Spring...
If I was doing the Deadpool marketing, I'd be crowing it from the mountain tops...
"SEE THE MOVIE CHINA DOESN'T WANT YOU TO SEE!"
