I consider myself pretty well versed on history, but there were a few obscure questions here, so I learned a few things. 21 of 30.....

I got 26, two of that by good guesses. That question that was looking for the United Nations I rate as a bullshit as that orginization does not fit my definition of EFFECTIVE. That(UN) was the answer they were looking for.

23 correct. I also have some problems with the way the questions were written.

While there were a total of 3,900+ Japanese Kamikaze pilots who willingly gave their lives only approximately 550 hit a ship or other strategic target, not the 2,800 which is shown here. There were 2,535 Imperial Japanese Navy Kamikaze and an additional 1,387 Imperial Japanese Air Force piots who were Kamikaze but most did not hit a target and were shot out of the air.

the question about "how many countries fought...", they included France in that list. Although the French resistance were true fighters, they often fought against their own countrymen... who were too cowardly to go against Hitler. As a "country" I would not include France in this list.

the "war to end all wars" was a trick question; as it doesn't relate to WWII... and this was the premis for the quiz.

the "war to end all wars" was a trick question; as it doesn't relate to WWII... and this was the premis for the quiz.

I am no fan of the leadership of France, but that is no reason to discount their role in WW2.
The French did fight. They fought for about 2 weeks in 1939 and were occupied, the French resistance fought for 6 years while they were occupied, and the free French (led by that POS de Gaullle) fought with the allies all the way to the outskirts of Berlin.

ya know, maybe I am thinking of the Italians. They fought against their own countrymen - more than against the allies or nazis. It was a mess; with both them & the French.
