I took these this morning...

Inglewood Site, the former Hollywood Park. I had to shoot this from several miles south due to airspace restrictions. Which presents a problem in and of itself when considering Aerial game coverage. It's directly on the LAX flight path. I'm sure there is a solution or waiver that could be agreed upon though.

Carson Site

I would think the Carson site would be a better choice. Direct highway access. Looks to be more land as well.

The photos are a bit deceiving.
The Inglewood site is 290 acres, the Carson site is 168 acres.
That little round building toward upper left of the Inglewood property is the Forum, former home of the Lakers.
Oh, and the Carson site is a former landfill. Cleanup will cost millions.

The Inglewood proposal calls for a covered stadium, so aerial coverage isn't really an issue. The issue is LAX is concerned that the stadium is big enough to interfere with their radar.

Unconfirmed reports that Rams and Chargers have struck a deal, but San Diego has an option to counter-offer. Or something.

But it's looking like the Rams are a shoe in.

Apparently, it's official:

Rams site in Inglewood approved by owners by vote of 30-2. The Chargers have an option to join Rams in Los Angeles, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports.

The Raiders have bowed out and will remain in Oakland.

Wait...what??? The Rams are moving back to LA?? Where the hell have I been.

Are they going to rename them the Lambs like they did when I lived there?

Actually...I'd fly out to see a game. Now if they could just get the Cardinals to move back to St. Louis all would be right with the world.

As long as Bill Bidwell is stuck in a deep canyon in Arizona and left for dead.

Between Bidwell and Kroenke, STL hasn't had very good luck with NFL Team owners. STL has great baseball ownership in the Cardinals - now if they could only find a team wanting to be there with a decent owner.

Perhaps STL should have an expansion team...

Will the Rams and Chargers share a stadium if the both end up in LA?

If you're going to do it...do it right. The Cardinals? Back to Chicago. Put the Colts back in Baltimore, the Titans back in Houston and kick the Ravens and Texans out of the league.

And the Rams??? Well...here's a shirt I just ordered:
