Exactly---they ran their calender 500 or so years into their future. I'm sure they figured they have time to update it later. :rofl:

Plus, the folks in Central American aren't real worried about the end of the Mayan calender either. :slap:

I told my wife we're gonna have an "End of the World as We know it" along with a Christmas party at our cabin 12/21/12.

What' funny is that's pretty much true. Of course, the Mayans have (had) later calendars for dates beyond 2012. Just like we have calendars for dates beyond 1995.

Dec 21, 2012 is the end of a "grand cycle", and Dec 22, 2012 begins the next one.
