View Full Version : Our Toys for the Kids Christmas funds? I'm robbing it a little!

This new little guy Mark Anthony's Mom died giving birth to him a few weeks ago. :sadangel:

Poor little kid has no Mom, his Dad is just a fisherman and cannot afford..

He already has to pay for the Hospital bill for the birth of his child, and also the funeral of his wife.. :sadangel:

Tonight I gave them some money for powdered milk to get them by for a few days, and plan to give them at least a few months more supplies when my bank transfer is complete...

I'm sure you will all understand and support my choice in this.

Am sad to post this, but at the same time am glad that we are here to help when it is really needed.

Just matched my previous donation. Hell, the first year we did this, the funds came in handy for the terrible typhoon that tore them up. Dealing with this sadness is another great use of the funds and in the spirit of why we give. :yesnod: We will have plenty for the kids, and I'm likely to provide a third round of funding next week. Business been berry berry good to me in the last two weeks and 2016 looks off of the charts.

I'll match my previous donation again too. As I wrote before, use the funds as you see fit. With situations like this, sometime Christmas presents aren't the most important gifts. :sadangel:

Same here...

When I was growing up as a kid I never wanted for anything.

We always had plenty of good food, good cloths, a nice home, and every Christmas we got plenty of toys.

Christmas was always a great time for us I remember.

At the time I really did not know how lucky I was, and still probably would not have fully known, till I came over here and saw how life can be for so many others.

Now what I miss the most about those times is how all of our family came together every year..

My Mamaw and Papaw would come up from KY to visit and stay with us every year, so all of my Uncles and Aunt's from my Mom's side of the family would come to our house to be with their Mom. (My Mom had 2 sisters and 5 brothers)

So we had lots of cousins!

Great times, and great memories...

Tim, you were saying there's an abundance of single women in the village so maybe it won't take long for one to step up to take care of the baby and widower fisherman. It takes a village to raise a child. :sadangel:

Little Mark,
Be blessed, loved and shine in your life. Someday you will be with your mom again.
