Police: Albuquerque Man Arrested After Stealing Mom's Stew
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Dec 8, 2015, 1:59 PM ET 26 Shares
Police say an Albuquerque man wanted his mother's traditional New Mexican stew so much he broke into her home and stole it.
The Albuquerque Journal reports that 23-year-old Jonathan Ray was arrested recently after he ignored his mother's orders to stay away from her posole and ran off with the holiday dish.
According to a criminal complaint, Ray sent his mom a text message saying he wanted some of her posole but she told him no.
The complaint says the mother later found her gate and garage broken and a pot of the posole missing.
Ray was arrested on a residential burglary charge. Court records didn't list an attorney for Ray

WTH is posole?
WTH is posole?
"Pozole (Nahuatl: pozolli About this sound po'solːi (help·info), var: pozolé, pozolli, or posole ),[1][2] which means "hominy", is a traditional soup or stew from Mexico, which once had ritual significance. It is made from hominy,[1] with meat (typically pork), and can be seasoned and garnished with chile peppers, cabbage, salsa and limes and/or lemons.[3]
Pozole was mentioned in Fray Bernardino de Sahagún's "General History of the Things of New Spain" c. 1500. After colonization by the Spaniards, the ingredients of pozole changed, but the staple maize remained.
It is a typical dish in various states such as Sinaloa, Michoacán, Guerrero, Zacatecas, Jalisco, Morelos, State of Mexico and Distrito Federal. Pozole is served in Mexican restaurants worldwide."

My Aunt Evelyn, use to make the best deviled eggs ever on the planet! :seasix:
All of her nieces and nephews.. including myself wanted them every year.. :yesnod:
She use to get mad when she was still alive because we could not wait till after Thanksgiving dinner to eat them!
One of my other aunts said she wished they would all fight over her baked beans she brought every year like that..
One year we made a plan.. we had another cousin make deviled eggs to look like just hers.... and switched them.. :seasix:
While we still got to enjoy her best eggs, she could not understand why so many were still on the plate that year.. :Jeff '79:

My Aunt Claudine used to make the best strawberry cake ever on the planet, too. She was our next door neighbor and she made one for our family every Christmas for decades.
