Anyone had trouble with or had to replace an EVAP Canister Vent Control Valve? How difficult of a job is it? Where is it located on an 09? TIA.

It is tucked up on the right hand side (passengers side) of the transaxle. About the size of a cigarette packet. You need to get the car in the air to access and it is an easy replacement. Pull forward and disconnect the 2 lines.
The filter gets full of dust.
Remember to use stands before you get under the car.

What kind of trouble were you seeing that you need to replace it Terry?

it throws a code...mine's throwing the code right now...i pulled it off cleaned it, but that wasn't enough...have a new one, been to busy to swap out.
It's a little tricky trying to figure out the direction that it slides off. but it's a simple process, i bent the bracket out a little bit which helped show the direction it needed to slide.

Luckily I have just such a place to work on it. :seasix::seasix:

Check engine light came on. Took it by the stealership here and had them run a diagnostic check. They cleared it but it is back on.

Thanks for that. I have wondered about whether cleaning would do the job or replace like I did.
