Met and seen lot of famous people, never have asked for autograph.
Just returned from snow boarding trip. While staying in Reno, hit crap table late Thursday night. Cute short black lady with killer body and big tits and straight blonde hair was playing craps next me. Was friendly having good time winning on her sucker bets.:yesnod:
Turns out to be Little Kim who I know very little about.
When I returned to my room wife asks, did you get autograph:rofl:

The only autographs I have is Mario Andretti's and Ron Fellows, if you're not into motorsports or cars in general, I don't want it.

only once and that was from President Gerald Ford when he came to a high school football game in Baytown Tx back in the 70's. We were sitting a few rows behind him. It was pretty cool

Had a concert shirt signed once, but it was a small show and my ex pushed me to do it. Actually, she did it for me.
No not usually. I did have Dave Hill sign my red beauty cover on my Z06 while at the Z06 fest in 2005. I was talking with him and he was signing stuff for other folks so I grabbed my cover as I was parked close by.

It's probably just as well you din't get that autograph since she probably would have signed it "Lil' Kim"...:D

Only once. A friend and I met Robert Crippen at a meeting where he was speaking. It was a couple months after he co-piloted STS 1. He invited us to the airport the next morning to take photos of him before heading back to Houston in his T-38.
I brought my copy of Life magazine with the double truck liftoff shot in the centerfold and asked him to sign it. Got a wonderful portrait of him also. Very nice guy. I went to the cape to see the liftoff of STS 5 when he was the pilot.

Dave Hill on a set of C5 valve covers and the winning C5R Corvette racing team on a print.
I've had the annoyance of meeting several high ranking politicians and CGAF about their signature.

I've met plenty of celebrities and the only time I asked it was a joke. I was getting a credit card receipt to sign while next to Dennis Rodman and slid it over and asked for an autograph.

Sorry guys, I never saw the thrill of having a GM employee sign my car
So he was the head of the Corvette team... :bilmem:
Sometimes. But only from peers.

only at the autograph sessions at the races and only from the teams with cool posters.
last season, there were 2 VERY GOOD drivers driving for a lesser promoted team. they were sitting at their autograph table without a single person in line. asked them for theirs. that was just disheartening.

No... only because i never think to ask for an autograph when i see somebody famous.
Sure, why not...I would ask depending on the person. I've got Bo Jackson's autograph. Thomas got Evander Holyfield's autograph after he became heavy weight champ. He was dropping his mom off at the Atlanta airport and they were at the ticket counter and Evander was standing next to them. Thomas said to his momma, "Ma, do you know who that is? That's the heavy weight champion of the world!" to which she replied, "Muhammed Ali?"
He laughed and signed an autograph with a bible verse.

If anyone wants my autograph they can have it, as for me asking for another persons..ppfftt..why would I want some other persons signature, no one is more famous than me
Just had Zora Duntov and Larry Shinoda sign my Duntov awards when I got them. Other than that I CGAFL.

The only time I have ever gotten autographs is at signings... I would never go and ask somebody out of the blue while they were doing something else. I can't imagine how annoying that would be to constantly have people coming up asking for things.
One random day I was bored and decided that I would see what would happen if I started sending emails to the agents/publicists of actresses and amazingly I got a few replies and a few that sent me some random autographed stuff that I have hanging on the wall in my entertainment room. If nothing else it makes for some good conversation pieces. The most random (and coolest) of the bunch was Cobie Smulders' agent who sent me a How I Met Your Mother (one of my favorite shows) script that was autographed by all of the main characters on the cover and an 8x10 autographed by just her.

No I dont.... I do have many but is due to them wanting to sign something in trade or something I have done for them.
Mostly just current and Ex Pens players but I know and see many folks that people would call famous. Never ask. Once you get to know them and treat them like real peole they become friends. Ones that dont want treated like real peole and think they are better.... I dont want anything to do with that type person

Nope. Only time would be at an event just for something like that. For example getting a glove signed at spring training or something like that. Outside of that, the folks that impress me (Salvatore Giunta - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Salvatore_Giunta_Medal_of_Honor.jpg" class="image"><img alt="Salvatore Giunta Medal of Honor.jpg" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/2c/Salvatore_Giunta_Medal_of_Honor.jpg/300px-Salvatore_Giunta_Medal_of_Honor.jpg"@@AMEPARAM@@commons/thumb/2/2c/Salvatore_Giunta_Medal_of_Honor.jpg/300px-Salvatore_Giunta_Medal_of_Honor.jpg) aren't really in the autograph crowd.

Met him at cruise In a few years back. He picked my car for the RF award... not sure what that was. Any way BS with him and his wife most of the afternoon and being a Canuck he is a Hockey fan. Never asked for his autograph but he took a bunch of pics of my car.
Few weeks later he called me and asked who could do some paint work for him. We BS for a while and he said here is my cell if you get to Toronto call me.
So about 8 months later I did...we went to dinner and a Leafs game. Stayed in contact ever since.
No matter how much they are worth or where they live and do for a living they put their pants on one lag at a time.

:iagree:
back in the day it was cool if a ball player signed a baseball for a kid...something that meant more to the kid than money...because back then, kids had no value of money and couldn't care less...
same with a GI having an autographed pic of a pin up girl or glamor movie star...it wasn't about $$
today...it's commercialised and a joke.

Never been much into that sort of thing - but I do have several posters Linda Vaughn has signed for me over the years. A local customer had her sign the dash of his 68 Hurst/Olds and he thought that was the coolest thing ever. Seemed kinda goofy to me.

That's the only thing I have autographed.
Just remembered, my wife has a Pat's hat signed by Drew Bledsoe that was a gift.
I have no interest in any autographs of actors, politicians or sports figures, but I would like to have a guitar autographed by Jimmy Page.
