****in' lightweight.
The monkey is strong. We've all known somebody, haven't we?
I worked with a guy who, when sober, was as engaging and funny as anyone I've ever met. He just could not...stop.
More Scott...

Sad, sad deal with Scott ... been a long time coming unfortunately. I wish I could say I was shocked.
Really loved the stuff he did with Velvet Revolver - those two albums a couple of my favs to this day.

I met Scott July 25th 1993 when he opened for the Flaming Lips and The Butt Hole Surfers' Back stage, he was riding a motorized skateboard. The producer of the Lips at the time introduced my wife and myself to him, and I didn't hear his name, so I said what was your name again? He laughed and drove away on his board. Whatever... Mind you, this was just as Core broke big in '93, so I knew their music but not his face.
They proceeded to blow the place apart with their sonic treats from Core.
After they were done and the Lips were on, I went into the STP trailer where Scott just happened to have a needle in his arm with a handler behind him. Oops..... I just said oh, sorry, bad timing... Later, and left.
Honestly, that dude and STP put on a great show.
Heroin sucks. :sadangel:
RIP Scott.....
Here's a prophetic one.

A great artist. He went thru a lot with all of his demons. :sadangel: Listen to Matt Pinflied talk about him on XM radio on the way home from work yesterday. Fans and band mates recalling the good times with him.

I heard an interview with his wife as well.
They met when she was 15 and a model in LA.
She couldn't drive and needed to get to her modeling gigs, so his agent, knowing that he needed the money, hooked him up with a paying driving gig for her.
She said it was love at first sight.
