....take the Friday after Thanksgiving off to make it a long weekend?
We have our thanksgiving on the second Monday in Octorber so it's different. :canada:
Company holiday so Yes, I have it off.

we don't have the next day off but the bldg usually gives it off, but then i work in the other bldg, double pay-day, woo-hoo
.gov doesn't have the day after as a Holiday, but we can float others around. So I worked Veterans Day and taking the holiday Friday.

Not only did I take Friday off, I took the entire week off.

I took today off but will go in to the office Friday for a couple of hours.
let me check....had yesterday off, have today off, have Thanksgiving day off, have friday off.....i have the rest of the month off....and December too!!

When i was working we got no paid holidays, (union construction) Had to loose Thursday (thanksgiving) no sense taking Friday off and loosing two days pay.

I took the Wednesday through Monday off :yesnod, I go back December 1st. My company gives us Thursday and Friday off

It's been probably 25 years since I didn't get Friday off.

During my years at Boeing (until retirement), the Friday after Thanksgiving was a paid holiday. After retirement, I did contract engineering for 6 years ...... no paid holidays or vacation when you are a contractor. I did contract work for Boeing and Hawker/Beechcraft, and when they closed for holidays, I would be off too, without pay.

Taking off for the day now, and back to work on Monday. :hurray:
I go in Friday to make up for taking Tuesday off.

Looks like about of 60-40 split between those who work and those who wrangle it into a long weekend. I actually thought more would make it a 3 day affair.....and then there's Black Friday shopping....yuck! :slap:

Friday is a paid holiday at my company
When I was in Pennsylvania the union at the plant gave up another holiday in order to have the Monday after Thanksgiving as a holiday
