Laquan got kilt by the po-lice. In fairness, CPD fired the cop and he has been charged. Laquan was brandishing a knife in the middle of a street, but wasn't near anyone at the time of the shooting.

Apparently, a cop shot 16 rounds at a black 17 year old killing him. Doesn't
say how many shots actually hit him but a fellow cop stopped him as he was
trying to reload.

Interestingly, it happened back in October 2014
and the video was just released today (????? it's the Chicago way I guess).

I've watched the video a few times...

I honestly think it was excessive, then again I wasn't there, and the audio appears to be covered up like something out of the Matrix.

The guy was down, and you can clearly see successful hits occurring on the individual in question (after he was turned off). Yes, he clearly had a knife, but he was dropped and in my eyes the threat was eliminated. Other officers had to stop this guy on a reload after he was DEAD. Either way, the guy probably couldn't be reasoned with, he got dropped, officer was a little nuts.

Regardless, it's no reason to destroy your community. Thugs will be thugs I guess.

Edit: After seeing the video, it's pretty bad; apparently happened a year ago. Chicago Police paid the family $5M to keep quiet and keep the video from being made public. Rioting isn't going to help anything, but it would appear Chicago's PD is as corrupt as it's Mayor.
