My parents kept everything they ever had, so all my childhood toys are in that garage. Today, I came upon a box of my old stuff. Found my old Tonka tow truck, some well used Matchbox cars, and some other stuff. Also found a replica Oscar Meyer Weinermobile.

Nostalgia rocks!

You're soooo lucky!

I have two of my remaining hot wheels cars.

A beat up red deuce coupe from 1968.

AND a mint blue 1968 "Dexter's Demon". :cool1:

I seldom raced it, and put it in a sock in a suitcase in 1970, and forgot about it.

IF it was in the original package, I bet it would be worth bucks.

As it happens, it's not, but it's as new. :)

Actually, I found a blow up canoe. I have no idea whether it would still hold air. My extensive HO scale train set and a Tonka dump truck and trackhoe are still MIA.

That tow truck might bring a few bills. Seriously. Looks like some Matchbox, couple Hot Wheels, Tootsietoys, and Tonkas. Check Ebay. Some of those might be worth listing.

The tow truck just found a home above my TV in the entertainment center, as did the bigger blue Jeep pickup in the second picture. I can't imagine the little Matchbox cars are worth much, as they are worn, lots of paint missing, etc. I might look on Ebay, just for grins.

You need to introduce Matchbook buyers to the concept of "Patina".

Probably all stuck together. Ever try blowing one of those up after 20 years of use and abuse? It's not fun.

I found two old trucks a few years ago and for a joke put them on ebay. Damn things brought in 700$ for the pair! I couldn't believe it. BONUS!
Lincoln tin trucks, one car hauler and one firetruck. No boxes, average shape.

You've got a few hundred there for sure. :yesnod:$$$

I had a bunch of old British Lesney Matchbox cars & trucks, mostly with their original boxes, that I made the unfortunate choice of giving to my kids when they were little. I have no idea whatever became of them, probably buried in the backyard somewhere.

I gave my old Lionel electric train set to my nephew, and some years later Sis was cleaning out her garage, and I found my old GG1 loco in a box ready for the curb....I took it home, sat on top of one of my stereo speakers with 2 sections of track under it, some years later after the first divorce, I reading the paper and see an add for Lionel trains in the classified ....call the guy up, his basement was one huge collection, all the walls, tables, cases, display racks, UN BE FREEKING LEAVABLE!!!!.....he just sat on the stairs and watched me freek out looking at all that shit......wound up buying a ton of it back, my old setup, and so in my high rise apartment...what did the kids mom find when we met?? 2 sheets of ply set up as an operating Lionel train set, and one around the HUGE living room floor......several moves and layouts later kids much older and the last of it got sold off again, except for that GG1 and two sections of track.......that went to my son/grandson out in Ca. now.....met up with about 8 guys up north, some of us still in touch, we all had Lionel trains running, so we got together for a club 'meet' in alternating houses every 3 months......many years of fun.....:seasix::hurray:
