The Duke of Flatbush died at age 84.

Duke Snider was a local hero for all of us. Now, one of the "Boys of Summer" (who shook my hand in May 1955 in Ebbets Field a home game) has passed...on a winter's day.

I don't even live in New York and I still mark the day the Dodgers moved to L.A. as the blackest day in the history of American sports. :leaving:

I refuse to be one of those SOBs that only talk about who has died or what ailments you have. Screw that.

Harry, did you go to that humongous "I-can't-believe-that's just-a-high-school" high school in Flatbush? The architectural wonder?
