is there any truth to them letting that terminal dude see the movie early?

the article i read said they sent it to him to let him see it. i call bullshit, aint no way in hell they letting that movie out of their hands in any way. would have been more believable if they brought him in to see it, but to just send it to him?

JJ phoned him and the next day Lucasfilm reps brought it to him. It was never out of their hands.
