Early December 1972, Tobe Hooper was in a packed department store, at the height of the Christmas shopping season. Suffering an episode of extreme claustrophobia, Hooper escaped to the largely deserted hardware section of the store, where he came upon a display of shiny new chainsaws. A brief moment spent dreaming of revving one up and cleaving his way out of the store and the rest, as they say, is history.

So... does that mean The Texas Chainsaw Massacre qualifies as a Christmas movie?

I rather think it does. :D
