Been on an emotional roller coaster the last few weeks. My girlfriend of 3 1/2 years has almost reached her wits end on our relationship and was thinking about calling it quits. Out of the time we been together we only actually been together for 11 months. We deployed together to Iraq 07-08 but you cant count that time as "together" well I thought I had pretty much lost her, but we spent a long time chatting on yahoo last night and well lets just say we worked it out she has no plans on going anywhere and is patiently waiting on her man to come home. Im so ****ing happy words cant discribe!

Glad to see it is working out. Deployments can be very stressful on a relationship. When my wife and I were married I left for a six month deployment only 3 weeks after the wedding.

The long distance thing alone is rough, without the fears and doubt that military service can add to it. Good on ya both for staying strong.

Good days are to be savored and remembered - there are never too many good days.

Congrats on reviving your relationship, and the (hopefully) early arrival of your Freedom Bird home!

Thanks for your service! Semper Fi.
