Ok... it's really called 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers Of Benghazi... but somehow I don't trust Bay to handle this with quite the respect and nuance with which it should be presented. After the insult that was Pearl Harbor, I rather think Bay should stay away from historical source material for his movies.

IMO, this trailer shows a bit too much Hollywoodization of the events, with war movie cliches coming fast and frequently. Your feelings may be different.

Michael Bay, he's only good for a blowing shit up movie.

Pearl Harbor was a fcuking dud too. It had such potential and then turned into some shitty romantic movie with action in the background. I remember there were actual Pearl Harbor survivors at Pearl Harbor to screen the movie. I'd be embarrassed to show that POS to those guys and especially due to the location.

Many Pearl Harbor survivors did not like the film and called it grossly inaccurate and pure Hollywood. In an interview, producer Jerry Bruckheimer was quoted saying, "We tried to be accurate, but it's certainly not meant to be a history lesson."
Translation: We're aiming for profit and nothing else.

So with with all this in mind, will I go see his Benghazi movie? ....

Edit:
Tim, don't even waste the fifty cents for the pirated copy at the Sari-Sari store. Wait for someone else to be the sucker or get a free copy from somewhere. :D:seasix:

In that situation, I'd rather screen Battleship.

(Full Disclosure: IMO, Battleship is an honest film. When you go into a movie based on a 90-year old board game, you shouldn't expect any more than we got from that movie. I found it entertaining, interesting to look at and patriotically uplifting. Definitely had a whiff of "AMERICA, F*CK YEAH!")
