Glad you like it. There used to be a local band called "Blue Movies" that played that song; they upped the tempo and volume and made a kick-ass song out of it. They wound up playing it 2-3 times every night at the crowd's insistence. Don't know what genre you'd call that--jazz rock?

I'd have to hear it to give an informed opinion, but what you've just described sounds like jazz fusion to me.

Figgurrs....I love Zappa...They were so underrated musically, but all virtuosos in their respective instruments.I can't believe that I didn't recognize it......I think I'll listen to that one again...:cheers:
