They banned me (again) only took them over 3 years to figure it out I guess. I kept to myself and hardly posted so no reason they should have pulled that shit.

And MOD's at CF if you're reading this, I was falsely accused of both bannings. I never should have been banned.

I was banned over there almost five years ago. I still go there occasionally and lurk just to see what kind of juveniles are posting. Every now and then I think about creating a new user ID and going there and blowing up a bunch of threads but then it's not worth the effort

I had stayed quiet, I use it for parts and what not...... It's so petty, I was banned because they had to blame someone on this forum, so I got it.....

I think on OT over there at any given time there are about a dozen people doing just that. Their banning policy has ruined the place, for sure. And every time they name new moderators, it looks like they tried to select the biggest douchebags there. As best I can remember, Iron Chef may have been their last decent moderator they named. So of, course, they had to ban him, too.

To give you an idea of Grumpy's low-life, on the CF i mentioned that I had send some tomato relishes to another member there. Grumpy took it on himself to ask where his jar was. I sent him a jar. No reply, no Thank You, no nothing.

I paid for his dinner two years in a row. Do you think I even got a thank you?

And to clarify what gets me mad, was their action of falsly banning me 4 years ago. Are some people over the top, and create an annoyance? Yes, but I would keep a distance. Then this yesterday, it's so low on their part.

I need a login for the technical resource, as well as the part resources. It's good to have as my C5 is 11 years old and not everything is readily available. Plus anything and everything that might go wrong, there are threads to follow and ask questions.

A duplicate account query of the database isn't difficult, and since it seems quite a few were removed from CF this week for that exact reason, suggests this is probably what they did. They specifically sought out dupe accounts and discovered yours in the process. It's no more personal than that.

I could tell you how to avoid detection, but I'm not posting it here. Getting another account registered is only half the battle, preserving that anonymity takes constant awareness. You're at an inherent disadvantage because you probably don't know all the identifiers you unknowingly present simply by visiting the site, and that data is logged and is easily referenced by admins at any time. You slip just once, it's documented, and you've become vulnerable to being identified.

If you really need an account there, contact them, explain your situation, and ask for your original account to be re-opened. There's several "permabanned" members currently posting there, it obviously worked for them.
Make sure to mention your intent is buying parts too, CF is just an advertising portal, they need to know they'll profit from you. :)

Marcus, you need to let go of the fact that you were banned and why, because it doesn't matter. There are only two ways you can change things: You can either send a PM to the Admins asking to be reinstated (in effect, kissing the Pope's ring), or by buying the forum from IB and then kicking out who you want. The former isn't likely gonna happen and the latter definitely won't, so you're stuck.

You don't need a login for tech stuff unless you desperately need to interact with people.

But this whole "They banned me and I'm pissed" thing...c'mon man. No offense, but I had more time and a much deeper stake in that place than you did and if I can move on, so can you.
