Then explain why Kylo Ren has an afro at the end of the trailer.
Really, he looks nothing like Mark Hamill...

The theater we go to (reserved seating, electric recliners, dinner, full bar) was having ticketing issues last night.
Couldn't get tickets until this morning. Gotta wait until Saturday night to see it.

Finn’s stormtrooper-turned-goodguy-turned-Jedi is straight outta the Dark Forces
or...
don’t see Luke until 3/4 through the movie. The new main characters are obviously looking for Luke.
or...
Luke ... they don’t show him on the dark side; although with his family history it wouldn’t surprise me
or...
Is this a dead Chewie? Note the hair and bandolier in lower right. Also appears to be the same forest as lightsaber battle tease?
I think it's an Ewok, looks like their forest home as well.
or...
Finn... this is the first trailer I’ve seen that doesn’t only show him in desperate need for an inhaler or Xanax.

Analysts are already predicting it's gonna be the biggest film of all time. It will surely crush Titanic like a stubborn insect.
I just hope The Mad Shooter stays aways from the cinemaplexes and theatres worldwide, but I got a bad feeling about this.....

I have practically written off going to a theater anymore. I mean, those places put law abiding citizens at mega risk... as long as the LAC's aren't allowed to CCW there.
With that disallowance, it's like a big neon sign to the crazies:
"this is a safe place to play-out your fantasy"

Yeah, that one is really freaking people out. I'm not overly concerned because I don't see the "bandolier" everyone is seeing, I just see some whisps of fuzz and I think the leather jacket is more important there.
I also think JJ is way more canny than that, in keeping secrets.

The Force is not strong with Fandango and other online ticket merchants, apparently. Mofo's got jocked like flies on a bantha.
‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Ticket Presales Crash Fandango & Others
October 19, 2015 5:59pm
The months and months of hype have paid off for Disney and Lucasfilm this afternoon, as theater chains began offering advance ticket sales for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which hits theaters two months from today on December 18. Perhaps a little too well, however. Legions of Star Wars fans immediately rushed to online ticket sellers to secure their seats but alas, the force is not strong with them. The sudden rush of demand from Jedi-happy fans has caused loading issues and site outages on purchasing platforms including Fandango, the Alamo Drafthouse, and AMC Theaters.
Fandango was most seriously affected as of this writing, with the site timing out before the home page loads when we attempted to access it. Service for ticket sellers has been spotty all over, and though many fans were eventually able to purchase tickets after several attempts, others are reporting they’ve gotten access only for these sites to crash again before finalization.
While inconvenient for moviegoers, the news has to feel like victory to Disney and Lucasfilm, demonstrating the continuing pop cultural and market power of the franchise many abandoned after less-than-universally beloved prequel trilogy ended in 2005. Of course the film was going to be a success, but how much of a success is the key question. Experts have been predicting a record-smashing $615 worldwide opening for the film. Obviously great if it happens, as we saw earlier this year with The Avengers: Age of Ultron, failure to meet those expectations might lead to people talking about The Force Awakens as a disappointment no matter how many lesser millions of dollars it rakes in. Right now those sky-high (or, if you prefer, orbital) predictions for box office earnings look positively reasonable.
That’s small comfort for those still unable to buy their tickets – Predictably, fans were not happy, taking to twitter en masse to lament their destiny.

Domestic All Time Unadjusted... it has to make $659M to be number #2 behind Avatar, and make $761M to beat it. That will be difficult to do.
Worldwide All Time Unadjusted... it has to make $2.8B to beat Avatar... again, asking a lot.
Domestic All Time Adjusted For Inflation... it has to make $1.7B... ain't gonna happen.
I just hope The Mad Shooter stays aways from the cinemaplexes and theatres worldwide, but I got a bad feeling about this.....
If this concerns you, then carry. F*ck those signs. The bad guys aren't going to heed, why should you. Worst thing is they toss you out, but how will they know, if you're not waving it about as you buy your ticket?

No worries, there Apex. I applied for my permit and I will CC. I just hate the thought of some looney tune ruining such a great event for everyone.

I've done this. If you understood LAC's at all, they feel uncomfortable doing this... as it violates a law/ordinance. Plus, if the theater dudes report you, then you risk losing your CCW rights.
What's needed is the theaters to stop catering to the socialists and their PC brethern. Why would the suggestion be for the Law Abiding Citizens to intentionally break the law  That's bass ackwards.

I also remember my parents taking me...the little brat...to see Patton and M*A*S*H. A double feature. Can you imagine? I don't even like to sit in a room with myself for an hour. Can't imagine what they had to go through. :ack:
LOL me too....:cane::cane: and did not understand it...
I didn't either, but what is little known is that Arthur C. Clarke wrote a follow-up novel called "3001: The Final Odyssey" and it really explains the whole thing, including what happened to Dr. Frank Poole (played by Gary Lockwood) who was set adrift in space. It's been a long time since I read it, so I can't remember how it compares to the movie "2010: The Year We Make Contact" with Roy Scheider.

You're kidding, right? We've turned into a pretty candy-assed society when people actually get upset because they can't see a movie the day it's release.
It's like people have to get life-threatening illnesses to learn what's really important. Good grief.
