you toss a stray ice cube that jumped out of the ice maker across the kitchen into the sink, and as it's flying mid-air, you remember that there are three crystal wine glasses in that sink...

And the ice cube lands and you don't hear glass breaking! :ohnoes::dixie:

well, la te da, mr. fancy pants. not all of us can afford to waste ice cubes, much less have fancy crystal wine glasses sitting around waiting for the staff to wash them up....:dance:

Leah (stupid dog to the left) doesn't like ice cubes, so when one misses the glass, ye olde owner (me), has to pick them up and toss them into the sink. carefully.

If you drank your wine straight from the box, as God intended, you wouldn't have these types of worries.

We do have some box wine. But it's from DeLoach and costs about $60 for 3 liters. It fits in the wine barrel (think a keg with a tap) that some friends bought us. Great for a party. They put some of their decent pinot noir or cabernet in them.

We're not wine snobs, but compared to a lot of people, we probably are.

Any extra ice or ice that misses and hits the floor goes into the cats drinking water dish.

They love it, bat it around in the 6" diameter dish we have for them. We have 3 very large Mane Coons and they enjoy their form of hockey!:D
