Everything is 'Tactical' these days. It's going on the point of absurdity.

I was at the Sporting Goods store the other day and noticed they had a sale on Stack On gun cabinets. Now, I have a real safe, and it's not that I was looking to purchase, but I do use a Stack On gun Cabinet for my Reloading supplies...

Anyway, the normal Green one was like $130.00, but they had one that they called the 'Tactical' model, which was black with some black Diamond Plate bolted to the door with the word 'Tactical' emboldened on the front. It was also substantially more expensive.

There is a thread on another forum I am on where the guy purchased an Axe at Big 5 marketed as the 'Tactical' model. Now, this thing has absolutely no usefulness as a real tool. It's FU*KING DUMB. Want an axe? Buy a REAL FUGGIN AXE. Husqvarna, Granfors Bruks, Wetterlings...Shit even Fiskers stuff is good. An axe should be a lifetime tool, and you ain't getting that for 20 bones at a sporting goods store.

I get that, if there wasn't a market for it, they wouldn't make it. But it's hysterical that people buy into this crap. There is 'Tactical' EVERYTHING these days. Tactical Bacon, Tactical Condoms, Tactical Toilet Paper. Everything for the Urban 'Operator' to justify their existence as Wannabe Rambo.

I'm all about being self sufficient and prepared for an emergency, but Jesus. ENOUGH ALREADY.
