New show on A&E with Steven Segal as a cop, can't tell if it's real or fake. In the preview Mr. Segal says "I've spent most of my life in the movies but for the last 20 years I've also been a cop."

Is this guy really a cop???

Seagal is currently a deputy sheriff of his home community of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. In November 2008, A&E announced that they have begun filming Steven Seagal: Lawman, a reality show that follows his on- and off-duty work in the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. Seagal stated that "I’ve decided to work with A&E on this series now because I believe it’s important to show the nation all the positive work being accomplished here in Louisiana—to see the passion and commitment that comes from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in this post-Katrina environment."Interesting...

I actually like a bunch of his movies (Exit Wounds is one of my faves), but he makes himself such a target for ridicule... :yesnod:

Yep! That's about the way he acts. And when he starts all his "I'm an Indian" stuff, then that's when the channel goes "click". I like Arnold better.

When does this show air??? Above the Law, Marked for Death, Hard to Kill, Under Siege 1&2, Fire Down Below.... all classics of his IMHO....
